The Nikon TC-17EII AF-S teleconverter (2151) can be used with the AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/4G ED VR Lens (2202), however the number of DSLRs that support autofocus with this combination is limited. Adding the TC-17EII to this lens reduces the amount of light transmitted through to the camera's sensor to the degree that some cameras will not be able to autofocus. Autofocus is available only with cameras that offer f/8 support. These include the D5, D500, D4/D4S, Df, D850, D810/D810A, D800/D800E, D750, D600/D610, D7100, D7200 and D7500. When this combination is used with other DSLRs only manual focus is available. For further assistance please contact Nikon Support at 1-800-NikonUS.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No its not compatible. According to www.nikonusa.com the only Nikon convertor that works with your Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/4G ED VR Lens (Model 2202) is the AF-S TELECONVERTER TC-14E III (Model 2219). Open the link below and click on "Compatible with" in the middle of the screen: https://www.nikonusa.com/en/nikon-products/product/camera-lenses/2202/af-s-nikkor-70-200mm-f%252f4g-ed-vr.html
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Don't know for sure. Look at the rear end of the 70-200, if the last element of the lens is recessed in the barrel it should work. You may also find out for by going on line with Nikon USA and look up compatibility of the lens and the extender.
