The green light you are seeing on your Nikon COOLPIX B500 digital camera is to let you know that the camera is still connected to the smart device and that the SnapBridge app is still on; ready for use. To un-pair the camera when you aren't using it, simply open up the SnapBridge application, press the camera listed that is currently paired with and say "OK" to un-pairing. Then open Bluetooth settings on your smart device, choose the B500 camera and "Forget this device". The green light will no longer be there when you turn the camera off. To connect them again, just open up the SnapBridge app and start the process for pairing by pressing the camera icon. To learn more about your camera please contact Nikon Support.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I solve this by putting the lens cap on and turning the camera on. A message will come on the screen to turn it off and on again. This time when I turn it off the light goes out. May not be good for the camera but saves me having to unpair them every time.
