Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it is the closest with the addition of better range. The zoom lens is pretty remarkable. I do miss the monitor of the P520 as it was adjustable and helpful with a variety of angles, the newer model has a fixed monitor and no eye piece, but for all the other features, it makes the newer version, especially for the price a great camera.
