There is a flip lock on the bottom. Slide the switch and it will open. Both the battery and memory card.

Please try again later.To load the battery and memory card into the Nikon COOLPIX S7000 first open the battery door that is located on the bottom of the camera on the right hand side. Gently slide the battery door towards the front of the camera to open it. You will see an orange battery latch inside. Match the positive and negative terminals of the battery to the camera and move the orange battery latch aside to insert the battery. The orange battery latch will then slide over the battery and secure it. The memory card slot is located alongside the battery, closest to the battery door hinge. To insert the memory card make sure the contacts on the card are facing the battery and then gently press it down into the memory card slot. Close the battery door.
