Q: QuestionCan you recharge this battery while in the camera? Is it a USB to Micro USB cord? I am wondering if I can charge it from a large brick while backpacking. Thanks.

• A:Answer The Nikon COOLPIX S7000 digital camera comes with a EN-EL19 Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery, a UC-E21 USB Cable and an EH-71P Charging AC adapter. To charge the battery you place the battery in the camera before connecting the camera, the UC-E21 USB Cable and the EH-71P Charging AC adapter together and plugging the adapter into a wall outlet. Any use of non-Nikon products or 3rd party products is not recommended and could damage the camera and may void your Nikon warranty.

There is a Pet Portrait Scene mode which is perfect for getting a great image of your always-moving pet and a Sports Scene mode to catch all the fast movements of your active children. • A:Answer Yes. First, if its the NIKON coolpix S7000 like I have you need the correct wall adapter and a USB to micro USB cable. Assuming you're aware of this, connect with camera. Wait about 15-20 minutes and try turning it on. It may need to be unplugged, but it should fire up. Then, shut itm down, reattatch power line and fully charge. Go have fun! I got it for a gift for my daughter who just had a baby but sho decided she didn't need a camera. She uses her cell phone. I was niot happy that I couldn't get my money back.

The S7000 has about 20MB of internal memory which is enough for 1 or 2 still photos taken at the camera’s default settings. The exact number of shots that you can get with the internal memory will vary depending on your camera’s settings. The camera’s approved memory card list includes cards as large as 128GB. A list of approved cards can be found on page 21 of the COOLPIX S7000 QuickStart Guide or page 21 of the COOLPIX S7000 reference manual. • A:Answer Yes, the Nikon COOLPIX S7000 digital camera does have an AF mode for manual focus. Just place the camera in Auto Mode, press menu, choose shooting Menu, then select AF Area Mode. Place the AF Area Mode in Manual and then press the "OK" button. You can then choose to go left, down, right or up by using the selector button. Autofocus is achieved by pressing the shutter-release button down halfway. Focused subjects will have a green box around them. While the green box is around the subject gently press the shutter-release button all the way down to allow to the camera to capture a sharply focused image.
