Q: QuestionI have been trying to find a camera with a good microphone to record quality videos with for youtube and I don't know which to buy. Is this a good/best choice? If not, what would be the best choice?

• A:Answer It is a great choice for a beginner camera, however, check out the Canon t6 or t6i for better video performance as Canon is known for better videography.

• A:Answer This camera does come with a flash, as all DLSR's do. But it's just like having an iPhone coming with a flash, they all do. When you get further into photography, you will find that you may need to buy an individual flash depending on how you shoot. It is a good camera for a first time owner but I believe that if you are going to make an investment, the upgraded DLSR's are also well.

• A:Answer As the D3300 does not have an autofocus motor built in - it will require lenses that have Nikon's Silent Wave Focus Motor built-in to it. Nikon denotes these lenses with an AF-S on the lens itself and in the product name. That being said, the lenses from your FM2 will attach to the camera. You, most likely, will need to only use Manual Exposure mode as well as not have any metering information. Q: QuestionRegarding the Mic Jack that sits next to the USB & HDMI jacks:I'd like to know specifically if the mic jack can be used to input music off an MP3 player while recording a video. And if so; if the camera's internal microphone would then be muted when doing so.

• A:Answer The Nikon D3300 has a stereo mini-pin jack for a optional ME-1 stereo microphone to be used. This camera does not support any other device for adding sound to the video being recorded.

Q: QuestionWi-Fi and Adapter.I just bought this camera about a month ago and asked the store about the Wi-Fi so I could transfer my photos wireless. I was told there was no adapter for this camera and it would not take one even if there was because it has a built in Wi-Fi system. Now I see in the on-line ad that you get a free "Nikon - WU-1A Wireless Mobile Adapter - Black". Is this adapter brand new and will override the built in Wi-Fi or is it useless? I have to say I am rather perplexed and ticked since I bought a good amount of equipment at the same time.

• A:Answer I would go local and see if they will bundle it for you at the store, if not that at least call and see if a human at best buy online will do the bundle for you. all you have to do is ask....although the wifi bundle was available and my local store had all the items I had to tell them about it and they confirmed the wifi adapter was eligible for the $499.95 d3300 bundle. I see today it no longer shows on the website, it was there yesterday.

Q: QuestionCan I buy it without the kit lens ?I have an 18- 105 and a 70- 300 for my D5100. But it's broken AGAIN ! I'm thinking about the D3300 without the kit lens. I cant seem to find the answer anywhere online.

• A:Answer You certainly can buy body only! Nikon Experts are only answering for what they do. They sell camera with 18-55mm lens. Nikon uses F mount lens. I purchased the AF-L 55-200mm lens from another manufacturer at a great price.

• A:Answer The D3300 does not have the ability to take a still photo without ending movie recording. Pressing & holding the shutter-release button all the way down while recording will stop recording the and take a photo. It will then be necessary to press the movie-record button again to resume recording.

• A:Answer Yes. I don't own the camera but I was specifically looking for this feature on DSLRs and saw the D3300 did have a mini stereo mic jack. It sits next to the USB and HDMI connectors. I then downloaded the operators guide to read more about it. Unfortunately the guide does not cover any details on the function of the mic jack other than just confirming it has one. I'd like to know specifically if the mic jack can be used to input music off an MP3 player while recording a video. And if so; the camera's external microphone would be muted when doing so.
