QuestionI'm going from a point and shoot with image stabilization. I've one camera with 20x optical and another with 40x optical. Since the 70-300mm lense does not have image stabilization, how much of an adjustment will it be for me. All stationary subjects.

- Answer Depending on what type of point and shoot you have, it may be a bit of an adjustment. However; with the Nikon D3500 Digital SLR, you will have a lot more control over your settings which can help you adjust your camera to be able to take pictures at the full 300mm Zoom with no blur from hand movements. If you are taking pictures of still objects, it is also recommended to use a tripod just to help with stability.

- Answer The Nikon D3500 Digital SLR can auto-focus and is fully compatible with all AF-S and AF-P lenses with G and E type apertures. Older AF lenses will fit on this camera, however AF lenses with D type apertures will not be able to auto-focus. You will have to manually focus any AF lenses and Non-CPU lenses.

- Answer It may, depending on the type of mount you have. I have used lenses from my earlier F2 and FE but it probably won't accommodate any of the automatic features. You should rely on the knowledge of your photo sales person. I took one of my lenses to the store to see how it would work but that was from a D80 so most of the automatic features were compatible.
