• No. The Nikon D80 DSLR camera is compatible with the Nikon EN-EL3e Rechargeable Li-ion Battery. Nikon EN-EL3a and Nikon EN-EL3 batteries can not be used. An optional MB-D80 battery pack (which takes 6 AA batteries) can be used in place of the Nikon EN-EL3e Rechargeable Li-ion Battery, however, you will get fewer images from the AA battery type and some functions may be limited. • No, the EN-EL15 battery is not compatible with the D80 camera. According to the official product manual, the D80 uses Nikon battery EN-EL3e. http://download.nikonimglib.com/archive2/qmrEU00qT0J2010fARB44rAOyG08/D80_EU(En)05.pdf
