The MB-D17 battery grip ONLY works on the Nikon D500 DSLR and will NOT work on any other camera. The D7500 was designed by Nikon to not accept any battery grip as it has no external contacts on the bottom of the camera. Third party options are available but I don't recommended them. Google "d7500 battery grip options" to find them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's interesting because Nikon released the MB-D15 for the Nikon D7100 and D7200 but then quit including the option for a vertical grip on later cameras in that line.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The MB-D17 is specifically for the D500 and will not work on the D7500. It does not appear that Nikon even offers a 'factory' grip for the D7500, as it lacks the required electronic communications connector/port. Although I believe Vello made one for the D7500 - the BG-N18 - but I'm not sure it's even still available, and it was primarily just a glorified battery housing. They claimed a functional vertical orientation release button, but reports are mixed on how that worked, and I don't know how that was implemented given the lack of the aforementioned communications connector.
