“Why no basket with my brand new Ninja 4qt air fryer??? What do I do when a recipe calls for using the basket??? Can I use a stainless steamer in place of the basket?”

We were also confused about that. What they call the 'basket' in the recipes is the round part with the handle that goes directly into the unit. The 'crisper plate' sits in the bottom of this. You should also have received a metal 'rack' with two handles, but we haven't needed to use that yet. We are loving our unit and have made crispy french fries, roasted chicken thighs with great crispy skin, and have reheated puff pastry appetizers (which came out just as fresh as right out of the oven.
