Not sure but we use parchment paper and it works great. We used the paper when we made biscuits. Also, they make reusable silicone liners if you want.

Yes, I tend to use tinfoil when I am using the baking setting, not so much on the air fry setting. It works very well for warming up leftovers or cooking a baked potato.
