“Can anyone explain the ice coffee function, does the coffee come out hot onto the ice, if so wouldn't that leave the coffee warm”

yes it puts hot coffee out when on the ice coffee funtion. when you make iced coffee you use a larger cup and fill it with ice. what i believe it does is it makes the coffee stronger so when it is put on ice and the ice melts the coffee will come out normal strength.

Please try again later.They provide an 18oz cup to fill with ice, then instructions to make the coffee, you add lithely frothed whipping cream over the ice (yes it comes out hot but there is enough ice to keep it cold). I put my whipped cream & sugar and flavor in whip it and pour over the ice then start the over ice brew!! The recipes are great and easy.

If you just want concentrated coffee to make iced coffee, why not use the "specialty" setting, which is specifically for concentrated coffee?? It's like they just added the function to make it look like it has more features than it does.

I'm not sure if the water is hot when it comes out, but when I made it over ice, it was cold when I drank it.
