The hot plate only stays hot if you brew at least 1/2 a pot. If you brew anything less than that, the hot plate does not stay warm. I usually pour a cup while I'm getting ready and then another cup on my way out the door. Unless I start all over and brew another small cup, my coffee is not warm and I have to microwave it. I would really recommend getting the thermal carafe if you like to come back to your coffee a little bit later. I wish I had gotten it in the first place.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think the glass would be better because its easier to clean and it already comes with it so I don't think getting the thernal one would be worth getting. Hope that helped.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the glass carafe and left it on the hot plate while I went to the gym. Came back after 3 hours and the coffee was still hot and tasted great. I'd say it is worth it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That really depends on what you are going to use the Thermal carafe for... if you are going to take it with you, or travel... or take it and put it out on a table... then yah... it would e worth it. But if you are really never going to move the Carafe from the heating pad, except to pour... then no need.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the CF091 with the glass carafe and I wouldn't change a thing. I can see that there is coffee or tea in it to be dumped when we are done with it and it is beautiful. The thermal carafe would obstruct the view of the contents. I love the visual reminder that it needs to be dumped and rinsed. This is the best purchase I've ever made
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the glass. Don't know why I'd need the stainless. The opening on the cafe could be wider to facilitate washing it. Too small for my hand.
