• #4, it does come with starter set of three. There is a permanent filter that can be purchased from Ninja but they are sold out: Permanent Filter Model #: 134KKW300. Check Amazon.

• Paper filters (#4) work fine. Permanent filters must be purchased through Ninja, as the shape of the funnel is proprietary and after-market permanent filters won't fit!
