According to the Ninja Website: "The baskets are made of aluminum with a PTFE nonstick coating. The crisper plate has a PTFE-free ceramic nonstick coating. Both are PFOA-free." So as long as you cook the food on top of the little strain plate (they call it the crisper plate), you should be good. If you cook your food directly on the basket, be aware that the basket has a teflon-like coating on it.
