QuestionIs the pitcher glass or plastic?

QuestionAre there any complication while washing the pitcher? Read that getting the bottom part wet would ruin the heating option. It is gonna be an issue if the pitcher gets wet while washing it by hand?

- Answer The Ninja Hot ‘n Cold Blender has a CLEAN BUTTON” on the display panel. You place 24 oz of water into the pitcher, with 2-3 drops of dishwashing liquid, lock the lid in place, and press the “ CLEAN BUTTON.” It will them go through a pre-programmed cycle for a set amount of time. Once done, rinse the pitcher and set aside to dry. Depending upon what you are preparing in the blender, you may sometimes encounter a situation whereby “stuck-on” ingredients are present at the bottom of the blender, (near the blades) that the cleaning cycle has loosened, but not washed away completely. In the event that you encounter this type of situation, ( WHICH IS VERY RARE) there is a long cleaning brush that comes with the unit, that will reach down into the bottom of the pitcher. The BLADES are SUPER SHARP, so you should AVOID PLACING YOUR FINGERS ANYWHERE NEAR THE BLADES!

QuestionIs this blender able to blend down kale to be very fine and undetectable With other blenders I end up chewing the Kale in my smoothie, I don’t like that, I just want to drink it.

- Answer This blender will blend ANYTHING, including Kale. I watched someone on the Ninja Foodi Blender Facebook group make lettuce soup and kale was in there. I'm like, lettuce soup, uh no! But they did make kale, so I can tell you, kale-mixing's something this thing does. It's a work horse!

QuestionThere's no Puree' option, so does this blender not have a way to blend a smoothie until it's basically almost as smooth as milk? That's pretty much going to be my deciding factor between this and the Instant Pot blender. Thanks.

- Answer You can use it to blend nuts but you would probably end up with more of a paste than actual flour to use in baking.

- Answer There is not a small cup that can be used with the Foodie. It has a uniquely different base because of the heating element. The other Ninja blenders have the single cup capability.

- Answer The motor draws 1,000 Watts. Convert this to HP as follows: 1 Metric HP is about 740 Watts, so divide 1,000 by 740. This motor produces approximately 1.3514 Hp! This is one serious machine that does not slow down when full of ice cubes.

She can make sauces, salsas, dressings, creamy soup, hearty soup, dips and the list just keeps going. I'm a professional chef and oh how I wish there was a commercial version of this exact machine. 1400w of pure power.

- Answer Not really. Pizza dough can't. Well... shouldn't be made in a blender. Regardles, the cups are too small for it. You can, however, pulverize anything dry, so for making pie dough this would be handy.
