Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Nintendo Shop typically charges sales tax on top of the purchase price. If so, six $10 gift cards will not cover the purchase of a $59.99 digital game. Generally, each gift card (of any value) increases the amount in your Nintendo Account Balance. When you make a purchase, the Balance is applied to the purchase price first. If the Balance cannot cover the entire purchase, you would need a credit card to cover the difference. In this case, you may need extra funds to cover the sales tax.

When going into your Nintendo eshop and entering your digital gift card codes, it’ll add up in your available funds to use on games, add ons, in game purchases, etc. Please note though that taxes may be applied to your purchase making your total over $60. I also don’t recommend buying 6 gift cards all at once as this could cause a long delay on receiving your codes. I’d buy one and wait to receive the code before buying the next one. If able buy larger gift card amounts and just leave some time between purchasing another so you have no hiccups. Hope this helps.
