Yes, I bought this one for my 7 year old who has the slab style 2ds.

Yes. All 3DS games will work on all 3DS and 2DS models UNLESS they specifically say "Only for New Nintendo 3DS," which this game does not.

Not sure what you mean by the old model of the 2DS, but yes the game is compatible with the 2DS and 2DS XL systems

You won't miss a single thing buying this game (sans the obvious exclusion of the 3D effect) by playing on your Original 2DS.
