How come 2 verified answers say no credit card is required, while the Norton answer seems to say it is required?? If you expand the view of the back of the box, down by the VISA logo, it clearly says a credit card IS required!! To me, that says VERIFIED answers are worthless :-(
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you absolutely have to give them your credit card. Norton claims to protect your computer but who protects your bank account? This is what happened to me. My wife bought from Best Buy,passed away and her credit card expired. I didn't think they could use it but they can. There's an "agreement". They went from her expired card to our joint account, across to my bank account and then to my personal credit card and lifted the money 35 days before the Norton expiry date. Gone are the days when you could recover your hard drive with their bootable CD. Beware!
