Yes, our kids had a great time making these. Just be there to watch, the heating bowl gets very hot. They are good size molds.

Please try again later.It is somewhere in between if you use the recipe provided with the maker; it's not just Jell-O consistency, since it uses additional gelatin and doesn't need to be chilled to retain a gelatinous texture, but it definitely is not going to be 100% the same texture as store-bought gummi candy (since those use a special kind of gelatin). It's maybe a little closer to Jell-O Jiggler consistency or the consistency of the Jell-O you get at buffets, but it's stable at room temperature; however, like those, if it's left out and exposed to air it will get much chewier around the edges. I'd recommend using fewer envelopes of unflavored gelatin to improve the texture - the default recipe they give makes VERY chewy gummies, which is not my preference, and using less makes it a little closer to traditional gummies- but to get something that is 100% like gummi candy you buy, you'll need to look up different recipes. (The molds for this can be used for that too, though!)
