“How do you clean this blender? With the blades being so sharp I have concerns about sending it off with my colllege bound daughter. My Blendtec is one where you add water with a drop of soap and blend! Thank you for any assistance you can offer.”

I do one drop of dish soap and let it spin for a bit. No need to consistently touch the blades.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I immediately rinse the blade assembly with warm water. Then it goes either in the dishwasher or I hand wash it using a sponge. I hold the bottom part so it won't spin and carefully wash off the blades and base part.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The blade(silver one) is detachable. All pieces are dishwasher safe. The way I clean mine is with very hot water and a high pressure sink hose. Your blendtec method is fine as well. The black colored blade is actually not sharp and more for mixing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I clean mine in the dishwasher. But I see no reason why it can’t be cleaned like you do yours. As long as she has a sink she can rinse it out well in afterwards.
