• The four blades are for mixing liquids like frozen fruit, fresh fruit, milk or protein shakes and it is used with the tall cup. The two bladed attachment is for nuts and maybe coffee and it is used with the short cup. Anything dry. Hope this helps.

• For the Pro 900 both blades are the same. I plan to only use one blade until it wears down and then use the other.

• For this unit it came with two of the same blades, the older version came with a muller blade, for dry food

• Product comes with a book to explain what to use for each blade. Very simple to look up.
