If you are going for performance only, then i would recommend sticking with the 4080s. The benchmarks just came out and the 5080 is pretty much even with the 4080s. If you are going for something that you want resale value on, then get the 5080. I would not recommend returning the 4080s in either situation.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have a return window of 1/31 at minimum, then yeah I would try to buy the 5080, if you get it on launch then go return that 4080 super. The 4080 super was heavily overpriced anyway, and the 5080 is also overpriced, but better price to performance than the 4080 super for sure. If your return window is before the launch on 1/30/25, then I would say yeah take a chance and return your 4080 super. Worst case you buy a card off ebay for cheap.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.NO. KEEP the 4080 SUPER, specially if it is Founder's Edition, the thermal performance on this will be underwhelming. 4080 FE was over engineered and it's one of the best Founder's Edition card till date. And 5080 4080 normal Raster Performance will be negligible it's not worth the hassle at all for DLSS 4.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are within your return window for the 4080super, absolutely return it. You will not get the resale value of the 4080 like we all originally thought. I got my 4080super back in May, and I'm thinking the most I'll get at reselling it is maybe ~820 max if I'm lucky.
