QuestionDoes the Nvidia shield pro support 2.1 HDMI ?

- Answer The current version of the Shield has HDMI 2.0b with HDCP 2.2 and CEC support. The Shield is long past due for a tech refresh, but nothing has been announced from Nvidia about any such refresh. That said, it's still the most versatile video player on the market. There's a few other players available, but expect to pay $400 or more for them.

- Answer The NVidia shield will upscale all input to the output resolution it is set at. The aspect ratio will remain the same. It can not and will NOT change aspect ratio of the movie from 1.33:1 to 16:9. That is the aspect ration the movie/series was shot in and the only thing you can do is change the video size mode (STRETCH OR ZOOM) on your tv to get rid of those bars whenever you have 1.33 aspect ratio. The wide stretch option will make people's faces look wide and the stretch the picture. The second option is the zoom but you will lose top and bottom portions of the movies/series.

QuestionI have upgraded my home network to utilize wifi 6 bandwidth. Does the shield support wifi 6, and if not, are there plans to do so and when?

- Answer I don't know for sure. but I get up to 376 mbps download speeds from my wifi 6 router and over 900 mbps download speeds with the gigabit ethernet port on the back. Hope that helps.

- Answer The question is open to more questions to give best answer. If your talking about from a network that is on dsl then yes, if your talking directly from the service then no. There needs to be a dsl modem that works with the service and it should pass through or assign the ip address to the shield.

QuestionI feel 3 GB of RAM is poor. For what you pay, more RAM can definitely be included. 8 GB should be considered MANDATORY and EXPECTED. Ernie Mink

- Answer I agree 8 would be better and they may release one in the future. I have not had mine that long but it has been impressive, i use it more for streaming and it has done really good for me so far. My thoughts are that the 3GB is more for holding apps and for some cache when streaming. These have been holding their price for some time now even for resale and it has been better than my firestick so overall to me it has been a good investment.

- Answer You can add a HD Homerun devise to your network. You hook an antenna to the HD Homerun, plug it into your network and it streams the channels picked up by your antennae across your network. With the Plex app you can view and record these channels.

- Answer Yes you can! If you use an HDHomeRun for your TV tuning needs, you can simply turn on DVR service within the default "Live Channels" app that comes pre-installed...or look into services like "Channels DVR" to help you with this.
