buffering is caused by your internet connection. this device is fast enough that it will never buffer if your internet/wifi is fast enough to feed it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Buffering sometimes is caused by under powered hardware. This nvidia shield hardware is top of the line when it comes to media players. When it comes to Netflix and YouTube, if you have a decent internet connection, playback will start immediately. When I comes to third party apps like Kodi, there are thousands of different custom configurations, and all of them use different apps and each app uses different hosts. Sometimes you will get buffering, and that is simply on the server side, has nothing to do with your media player or your internet speed. You have to remember it's a 2 way street. The speed of the server is just as important as your download speed. If you do use kodi, I definitely suggest looking into getting a real-debrid account. It will give you premium hd links and never any buffering. It's like $20 for 6 months, well worth the price. But as far as the nvidia shield, it is one awesome machine!

It's really fast and I think the only limitation you may have on live streaming would be rather ur internet connection or the server you connection is made to is just slow.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's still going to depend on your internet connection. But this will easily be, by far, THE best android tv box that you can own at the moment. My internet signal at my office is the worst. So, I just try not to watch 1080p video or higher and keep it to 720p video and it works awesome. If you're streaming video there is no way to completely eliminate buffering, even with the best equipment and internet. The Nvidia shield tv box will improve on your buffering issues and I believe you will not be disappointed.

It the buffering is caused by a slow internet connection, the Nvidia Shield probably won't fix your issue. Now if the buffering issue is caused by your current hardware not being capable of rendering the media properly, then yes the Nvidia Shield will fix this issue. It's a pretty powerful box, but it won't make your internet connection faster.
