The Nvidia Shield has the ability to load any and play any Android Game. Understand that games which are based on touch screen ability become more difficult with a controller, however the Shield also has full USB mouse support that can be used. In short I have been able to play every game I have tried so for. The Shield has a customized Play store that shows the games that already have built in controller support, but any Android game can be side-loaded and played.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The sheild is made for gamers and 4k streamers. It's capable of doing so much. I have yet to find something that this thing can't handle or do. Although I use it primarily for streaming I've done some gaming with it as well. Best streaming android base box I've ever purchased.

On the Shield Nvidia also has a play store with many older and some new games. Finally you can stream PC games directly to your Shield if you also have an Nvidia video card. So there are many options but except for streaming from the PC don't expect to play the latest AAA titles.
