Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Screen door is still present if you look for it but much better than Gear VR. Not to sound elitest or snobbish, but Gear VR is not really "true" VR in the way this is. You will recall the Gear VR (and Daydream and Oculus Go for that matter) only senses head rotation. You can not move your body or duck. Because of this, with previous mobile VR there was always a disconnect between your real world movements and what you see in the headset. I call it the "head on a stick" phenomenon. With the Oculus Quest, you're getting the same ultra-precise tracking as Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Odyssey, etc. Your hand and head movements (not just head rotation) are tracked and represented in the virtual world precisely. Because of this, you will feel as if you've been transported to a completely different world - something Gear VR was never able to accomplish. The term is "presence" and it's only possible with 6 degrees of freedom tracking provided by the PC VR headsets and now Oculus Quest. Those earlier devices allowed you to look around, but you couldn't move around. Quest is going to completely blow you away if you're coming from Gear VR.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Screen door effect is almost entirely removed. The resolution and refresh rates are higher than almost everything on the market currently.
