A:AnswerOrder in online and pay for it though best buy and you'll see one on your doorstep in no time. Waiting for it to arrive in the store like so many others doesn't guarantee it's in your hands at the end of the day so that is what I recommend from personal experience. The same thing happened when I came into the store to buy and I ended up going home and ordering it online and was here before I knew it.
A:AnswerI definitely recommend not buying the Rift S and buy the Quest. Its far superior to the Rift S and the Quest can be connected to a PC and be wireless as well. I had to return my Rift S with 1 week of owning it. The Quest or the Quest 2 is the way to go for sure. Even the Original Rift is was better. I still own and use my original Rift.
A:AnswerRun the surface laptop in windows mode if it has it. Not in tablet mode. Go to the oculus website a d download the software from there. With a Mac I have no idea. Lol
A:AnswerThere is no internal storage on the Rift S. It will will require storage on the PC when you download the Oculus app and games. It is not wireless like the Oculus Quest 2.
A:AnswerIt will not matter as when you set the headset up it will have you set up something called a guardian, a digital boundary you draw on the ground as your play space, if you get close to the guardian walls it will let you know while in the ve headset. It is recommended that you have a play area of atleast 6ft by 6 ft
A:AnswerChromebooks do not have the necessary graphics and processing power required to run a VR game. You should consider getting an Oculus Quest instead because it can run VR games without the need for a computer.
A:AnswerI believe you are not able to use the Rift S with R6 or COD unless you want to use just the headset as a monitor and use virtual desktop. Otherwise you’d have to continue using a controller or keyboard.
A:AnswerYes but your laptop would need a USB 3.0/1 port and have really good specs. Otherwise not really. A laptop isn’t the best for any VR headset unless it’s some beefy monster.
A:AnswerYou can a laptop but we had to order a port adapter. I checked with best buy before buying for Christmas and they ensured it would work with my sons laptop but the USB is too big so we watched a video and it shows an USB to C adapter is needed but not HDMI because that one will not work. It will be delivered Tuesday so hopefully it works
A:AnswerNo, the Oculus rift s doesn’t come with a carrying case. I got one for my kids for Christmas but should of gotten the Quest 2 because it can be used on PC (via cable sold separately) and as by it self with a phone. So, the only bad thing about the rift is it has to be attached to the pc while playing the cord gets annoying after awhile. The quest 2 has a bit more resolution also. I got the 256gb which was $100 more but more than double the 64gb option. My kid loved it and so did everyone else in my family that tried it. I actually purchased the Quest 2 after trying my daughters gift. The quest 2 256gb is sold out every where but I think you can find the 64gb.
A:AnswerI believe it’s 30 days from the purchase date. You can log into your Best Buy account if you have one and it might have the return by date on there.
