Hello DeeRodge, It's not the brand and model which would restrain you from using oculus but your system specs. Oculus does allows you to run VRChat. Please access the following webpage in order to check if your system will be compatible with Oculus (based on your system specs): https://ocul.us/compat-tool Usualy, only USD$1200+ laptops meets the requirements for Oculus. Kind regards, Bruno
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Oculus rift will run vrchat. I don't know this but I would suspect a laptop just won't have the performance required to run an Oculus rift. They are pretty demanding. On their website you can find the minimum and recommend specs for running VR. Anything less than the recommended will get frustrating fast though ( dropped frame rates and games crashing)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you're asking whether or not the Rift can run VR Chat: Yes. I think almost all VR headsets can run VR Chat and it's free to do so. If you're asking whether your laptop can run VR: No, I don't think so. I looked up the specs for your laptop and it doesn't look like it meets the minimum requirements. Also, you need at least 2 x USB 3.0 ports, 1 x USB 2.0 port and an HDMI output to even connect the Rift to your laptop. Don't run them through a HUB either, that'll just make for a bad time. I could be wrong about all that, so just in case, go here: https://support.oculus.com/248749509016567/ download the Compatibility tool and install and run it on your laptop. It'll tell you if you meet the minimum requirements. Then, as long as you have enough ports to plug everything in, you should be gucci. Hope that helps.
