- Answer Unfortunately it is not possible to recover deleted files that have been deleted. File deletion is permanent on Olympus Recorders

- Answer Olympus offers a variety of voice recorder models, Not all have the same features. The VN-541PC is one of the least expensive models and is limited to WMA only

QuestionDoes this recorder have a mic jack? I record telephone interviews with a receiver earbud plugged into the recorder jack. I have successfully used an Olympus VN-6200PC that way, but it has died.

- Answer YES This recorder has a Microphone jack as well as an Earphone jack. They are both located on the top (end) of the recorder

- Answer We have not officially tested the recorder in this scenario. However with a little planning It should work. My recommendation would be to try some test recordings adjusting the position of the Phone/ recorder to optimize the sound quality

- Answer No. Its not voice activated, it has a record but that you slide up to start recording you can also start recording when its off by sliding it.

- Answer The VN-541PC only records in WMA file format. Many of our other recorders such as the WS-852 record in MP-3

QuestionWill Best Buy protect its customers by removing this product from its shelves? This is a poor quality recorder. Surprised Best Buy carries it. After going through two recorders of this brand, I bought up to Sony > much better, and only $8 more.

- Answer Absolutely! This is how I use my recorder all the time. I copy the recordings to my desktop using the included patch cord and then open the recordings (WMA) with VLC software. That way I can easily move back and forth through the recording. I then move the recordings saved on my desktop to wherever I plan to archive them and then delete them from my recorder. I use a Mac computer at work. I imagine the process is nearly identical for a PC.

QuestionHow do you my speech on my recorder is Onslow? And I'm having difficulty deleting messages not all of them but the ones that don't have any meaning I see the trash can but I think it removed all of my recordings

QuestionOlympus vn 541 pc recorder. Upon reading the printed instructions, the directions ask us to turn off the unit after entering the "stop" mode. But I can't fond a stop mode on the recorder or in the instructions , therefore, I can't turn off the recorder.
