• It is a single stick of 2400MHz DDR4 RAM. You can add another stick after purchase (and I highly recommend that you do). You will not void the warranty by opening and/or upgrading it. I believe the brand inside mine is Crucial, but I'd have to open it to be sure.

• Yes, it is only one stick of 8GB. Yes, you can add one more. No, it will not void the warranty. I do not know the brand, but you can purchase any 8GB DDR4 laptop memory. Preferably one with the same speed.
