QuestionMy TX8140 is showing only 6ohm and 4ohm impedance. I purchased a set of Polk monitor 70 series 11 speakers that are 8 ohm. Could using these speakers cause damage to my reciever at 6ohm or is there possibly a way to reset reciever to 8ohm. Thanks.

QuestionWhen playing songs from a USB thumb drive: if the receiver is turned off while playing a song, when turning the receiver back on, will playback start at the same song it left off from, or does it go back to the first song in the USB index? Thanks.

QuestionWhen the USB device has a folder for each album, the manual states "set repeat playback mode to Full and play all tracks stored on the USB storage device." How do I set mode to Full? Is this a true statement or a translation error?

- Answer Press NET, use (up/down) to select USB and press ENTER. Connect USB storage to USB port. Press enter, the name of the track or folder appears. use (up/down) to select and press playback button. The playback will be the first track in the folder, press ENTER to select other tracks.

QuestionCan this be used with speakers controlled by impedance matching in-wall volume controls? I recently upgraded to OSD Audio VMS-100 in-wall controls which do not seem to be compatible with my very old JVC RX-315TN receiver. Needs "stable" output?

- Answer I have no idea when the Onkyo TX-8140 will be available in BB stores or online. Persistence, however. pays off After weeks of calling national and BB store cusomer support to dedermine availabity, the back office manager of the Mountain View, CA store, using obscure internal BB networks, was able to find and ship an 8140 to me, It was worth the effort, The unique device performsi its multiple functions flawlessly: wired speaker cunnection, WIFI, Bluetooth,Net,smart phone interface.Great,reasonably priced receiver. Good luck.

QuestionCan you pair the Direct TV remote to this receiver. I had to return an Onkyo receiver (TX-SR373) because there was no code to pair the Direct TV remote to the receiver.

- Answer Front panel has button labeled "Speakers" and corresponding window which shows which speaker set is activated. Push button one time for A. Push button again for B. Push button again for A B. Push button again. Returns to A.

QuestionI want to stream SiriusXM online via WiFi to the unit. I see the names of some online services listed, but not SiriusXM. Can it be streamed easily??

- Answer Yes, the TX-8160, like it's "sister" receiver the Pioneer Elite SX-N30 does stream SiriusXM. Either is a fine 2.1 channel receiver and will serve you well. On my SX-N30 and my Onkyo TX-NR818 I stream SiriusXM, Pandora 1, Slacker and a bazillion internet stations. You will not be disappointed with this Onkyo!

- Answer I haven't set up my system yet, but I don't see how it wouldn't, I think U can access the manual on line, and check 4 your self. I hope that helps, good luck.

- Answer I don't know for sure, I have always used Universal brand myself. I don't see why it wouldn't work. If you know how to program your remote, it shouldn't be a problem. Hope that this helps, good luck!
