- Answer Yes. You use an app on your phone as long as everything is connected to the internet. You can control volumes in both rooms as well as inputs in both rooms from your phone.

- Answer No extra anything it's a BLUETOOTH receiver. This is from the owners manual Bluetooth Set up menu: You can configure advanced settings to have a more enjoyable experience with this unit. For operation details, refer to “Menu operations”. ( p88) Select whether or not to use the BLUETOOTH function. "On": Enables connection with a BLUETOOTH enabled device by using the BLUETOOTH function. Select "On" also when making various BLUETOOTH settings. "Off": When not using the BLUETOOTH function

- Answer Yes, I also have a Bose Acoustimass speaker system and a Sony LED 4k UHD TV. Works GREAT! For the Dolby Atmos you need to connect two additional “HEIGHT” speakers for this effect.

- Answer 210 W/Ch (6 ohms, 1 kHz, 10% THD, 1 channel driven). 100 W/Ch (8 ohms, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, 0.08% THD, 2 channels driven, FTC). It depends on your speakers Ohms. This unit supports 4 - 16 Ohms. The receiver will provide more power to a 4 ohm speaker than a 8 ohm speaker. In the end it all sounds good.

QuestionIn the description above it states 2x HDMI outputs, but under specifications it says 1x. Which is it? I need to have simultaneous output to two different TVs for my setup and I’d like to know if this receiver will work. Thanks!

- Answer Yes it has two HDMI outputs, you can only switch between the two (view one at a time). My suggestion would be to connect a HDMI 4K 1 x 2 Splitter. That is a one Input to a two Output device. Just make sure that the output signal is strong enough for both of the cable lengths. So far I have enjoyed the Onkyo TX-NR686.

- Answer The receiver will send whichever sound (and image) files the streaming platform has posted as quickly and cleanly as your internet will allow. Internet lag will effect sound just like image. Streaming media is a great convenience, but for optimal sound and image quality you want a hard copy or completely downloaded digital file. Streaming services often don't post the optimal surround sound files with their programming.
