Use the HDMI cable on the back of the DVD player hook it into the back of the Onkyo receiver where it says DVD then on the back of the Onkyo receiver where it says Arc HDMI hook it into the back of the TV where it says HDMI ARC and you're good to go.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe you plug in the HDMI cord to HDMI 1 on the TV (in) to the DVD (out) and the HDMI cord to HDMI 1 on the TV (out) to the receiver (in)

Though this AVR is meant for modern hookups, there are red and white audio hookups (use connection 1) and component video hookup 1 (red/blue/green). S-Video is not supported, which is a bummer for old videogame consoles. I believe by using inputs labeled 1, which are pre-configured for BD/DVD, it should automatically work. Just note that to play cds, you will need to select the bd/dvd input, not CD, on the AVR. This link describes the inputs: https://www.onkyousa.com/Products/model.php?m=TX-NR777&class=Receiver
