Very quite projector.

Please try again later.no not really, about the same as most full sized projectors. according to Optoma the manufacture, the db rating for the fan is: 28/25dB(bright/Eco) -- so 28dB for bright mode and drops to 25dB for eco mode. I don't own this model, but have another older 1080P optoma , also mounted directly overhead from one of our main viewing positions, the only time we can hear the fan is if we mute the sound on our audio system. but regular viewing, like movies and sports, the Onkyo receiver and my 5.1 sound system easily overcomes any fan noise present.
