If antenna provides you your sports channels the that would be all you need hooked to your TV. Sling tends to be cheaper than cable or satellite. You need to evaluate based on your situation.

For example here in Seattle all of the Seahawks football games are broadcast locally over the air so I can stream them with this device. However the Mariners baseball games are only broadcast on a cable channel so I can't stream those games on this device.

Remember rabbit ears? All this box does is feed the OTA channels into your network, so that you can stream them via devices such as Roku or firestick. So, the short answer is no, unless the only live sports you wish to watch are via local channels coming over the air to your antenna.
