Just got iPhone 12 Pro and won't charge with rubber cover, it works without cover and with plastic cover but once place rubber cover it won't. HELP

I have trie on several wireless charging pads and with the rubber piece on it has never charged, I take it off and it charges just fine. I see a lot of people in this thread saying it works and I'm curious what charging pad they are using.

You can not wireless charge your phone using the otterbox defender case i have all note series since note 2 and since Samsung introduced wireless charging and have never been able to do wireless charging thru otterbox defender.

You most most certainly can charge with Otterbox, including outer cover; however, it does not work with all wireless chargers. You need a good quality with high output. And preferably one with a fan. Both phone and charger will be more susceptible to overheating when charged in case. I have successfully used wireless charging with an Otterbox cover on since wireless charging became available.

I just tried charging it on my Samsung Fast Charge Wireless Charging Stand (ep-ng930). It would start charging in portrait mode and then stop with the light flashing almost immediately. I then put it into landscape mode and it seems to be working just fine. Before I put the defender case on it, it charged just fine in portrait mode. That's the only charger I have so I can't speak for if it is better or worse with others.

I could charge it just fine with the otter box on an IPhone XS Max but since upgrading to the 12 Pro Max and getting the otter box it won’t charge. I even got the MagSafe charger and it won’t charge. Thought it might since it’s a 20 watt charger compared to my last 10 watt charger

There are a few Qi chargers capable of charging the phone with the Defender Pro case on. The Defender Pro case is 2.2 mm thick, you need to search for a Qi charger that states its device can work through phones at least that thick. I had one model but don't remember the name.

YES! Currently using Samsung Galaxy S10+ with an Otterbox Defender Pro and Iottie Wireless Charger QI. Works Every time, with no issues at all. Super easy, and works great. I get "fast wireless charging" everytime.

Yes, i purchased this case last week. Im rather taken back to see that it hasn't been officially released. This case is very rugged and makes note 9 look bigger than it really is. I love. Would strongly suggest this purchase to anyone looking for a case for the Samsung Note 9.

I been using a QI charger (one cheapy from Target and one Anker from Best Buy) on my iPhone XS and now an iPhone 12 Pro with no issues with my OtterBox Defender Case. Get it in the right spot and it's good to go!

Rarely worked for me (only once then failed several times).  BUT... try placing the phone with it FACING INTO the charger (less interfering/insulation).  That did NOT work.  The charger showed a blue light (with the charge actually draining 1% over less than an hour).  Normally that charger show a green light when charging.

So front or back, the charger could only sense something was there (through front of phone) but never charge the phone (front or back) and not even sense that the phone was there, unless I removed the case.

No. I bought samsung S21 ultra and defender pro case, and bought wireless charger recommended by verizon.  Cant charge wirelessly with the new charger or with any of my old chargers

No. Worst part of this is the sales information for the chargers doesn’t provide information about case compatibility. Bought an Apple wireless charger, an expensive charger that theoretically should be quality equipment.
Won’t charge my iphone 13 in the case.

I charged my iPhone 11 with a. Defender case on, while it was dead. It turned on so I took it off right away and then died again. Now the phone won’t turn on at all, completely black screen, nothing. I think with the case on it over heat and fried the battery, so please don’t charge with the case on, now I have to replace a new phone

Yes you absolutely can. I've had a Samsung S8 PLUS and now have a S20 5G and they both charge while in an Otterbox Defender (Pro?) BUT!! Apparently, when you get to the last few percent of the charge the charger lowers the voltage and it makes it so the phone has to be on it's side and centered perfectly on the charger. If you don't care about the last 2 or 3 % then don't worry about it.

Another but. I just bought from Amazon one of the those magnetic chargers that comes with three cords and a bunch of "Tips". You plug in a tip in your phone or whatever and just leave it there. Then when you want to charge the phone, you take the L.E.D. lit up end of the cable (Totally cool and easier to find) and just get the phone near the end and it "Sucks" itself right on the "Tip" that you always leave in your phone. It's VERY, VERY Cool!!!!

I'm getting ready to buy a wireless charger that you lay your phone on. I'm thinking that way it won't matter which way the phone is turned. We'll see. I flippen' just love all these gadgets. It's a great time to be alive. I don't need two different charging systems but it's nice to have them all over the house so you can just lay the phone down anywhere and it's charging.

No you have to take the phone out of the case which sucks. Most people have their phone in a case to keep it safe from damage or dropping it. The wireless charger is cool but if you wanna use you have to take the phone out the case.

Yes. That is what I primarily use to charge my phone. The samsung wireless charger does good. I did notice that I can not use my wireless charger that I had for my S7 Edge though. This phone has a Type C connector for wired charging as well. I had to replace all my micro-usb cables with the Type C style cables
