Our engineers redesigned our Defender Series in order to provide the same drop protection even without the built-in screen protector. The addition of one of our amazing screen protection options provides your phone with premium protection and outperforms our previous Defender Series designs. The new design does not fully enclose your device, so while it is not waterproof, Apple has designed all their newest iPhones with a water resistant feature built in.
