You open the belt clip and it makes it so you can prop your phone horizontally or vertically. I really like this case.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This Otterbox Defender will hold an iPhone 7. It has a 3-part case. One over the screen and one around the back. These are hard plastic, and click together very snugly. The there is a molded rubber bit that seals it, and provides drop protection. Then there is the belt clip. It is less “holster”, and more “secure clip”. It has 2 cups that cradle the corners of the case. And a small lever at the top center which clips into the side if the case. It holds very securely! The spring-loaded clip that goes on your belt, or other item, has a lip on the end which does a very good job of keeping the whole thing from sliding up and off the belt. The clip itself can also be opened until you hear a click. Then the whole thing becomes a stand of sorts for the phone. I have had a few if these for several phones. I recommend it!
