• A:Answer Case is quite durable, but is only back/side protection. Even so, it has edge and corner shock absorption, and is very rugged. Paired mine with a Zagg HD Glass+ screen protector, and am SUPER pleased with the OB Symmetry. Clear, shows off your product instead of hiding it, and is durable. As an example/testimony, I had phone out at McD’s and sitting at a high top table, hand got bumped, phone dropped from roughly 4 feet, onto bottom left corner. Took the bump, not even a scratch on the OB. **WINNER!!** In all honesty, I am not familiar with Speck cases enough to compare. But this is a rugged case that will withstand accidents and oopsies. Get it if you have the chance.

• A:Answer No. There are no ridges on the side to help with the grip. There isn’t a rubber grip to stop the phone from sliding off a hard surface when the screen is face-up. It seems like it’s a moderately flexible plastic (maybe). Definitely not a flexible rubber case.

• A:Answer This case is great because it is slimmer. However, the "downside" is that it doesn't protect your screen. It will not give you the same security from breakage as the Otterbox Defender case. I suggest purchasing a glass screen protector.
