Thank you for your inquiry. May we suggest unplugging the proprietary adapter from wall outlet, however, leave the proprietary adapter plugged into lamp, and remove button battery from backside of lamp then allow the lamp to sit untouched for approx. 30+ minutes. After 30 minutes passes by reverse everything, reinstall the button batter and plug the proprietary adapter into a workable wall outlet in order to see if the internal computer chip has rebooted itself. If not, would need to have a receipt or gift receipt within 2-years, and would need to contact Ottlite C/S via PH#800/842-8848 (hours: M-F, 9am-5pm ET).
