• A:Answer Being diabetic myself it fits not calculate A1C. It also doesn't show if someone should fall. My wife (who wears the ring) had a hip replacement surgery 18 months ago. While it doesn't read her gait, it encourages her to be smarter about her step placement to get the most fun out of her workout ratings. I hope this helps

• A:Answer Whilst utilizing the app itself will not impact battery life, it is when you activate certain features from within the app that will impact the battery, so for example when you turn on workout heart rate, it will constantly monitor your heart rate until the feature is turned off, this constant monitoring of the heart rate will deplete the battery faster, similarly blood oxygen sensing if enabled will utilize more sensors from the ring causing the battery to last much shorter between charges.
