“Bought an over the rang microwave from home depot They said they wouldn't install it b/c of impacting the backsplash. However the current backsplash is going to be replaced and we dont care if it get scratched. Does Best Buy have a similar policy?”

Yes, the microwave has to fit the space without any demolition. Now you could take the tile down yourself so it doesn’t interfere with the install and your purchase store will probably do it then. I don’t think Best Buy installs anything they don’t sell. You should go back to the original store. This is why I buy from Best Buy…

I had them take back the microwave with them. Best Buy said they could install. However, it took multiple attempts to get it done correctly
