The difference is a “Voltage Regulator”. The 5400 will adjust the voltage should it decrease. All other features are the same when comparing the 5300 and the 5400. Both of these units will provide superior picture quality should there be electrical interference. These units also have the same amount of power banks to plug your components which also eliminates interference from your components. My suggestion would be to save your money and purchase the 5300. Should you have issues with your electric levels I suggest having an electrician check your electrical system.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Looks like the difference between the two units is voltage regulation. I purchased the 5300-PM seven months ago and have no issues with the unit, even during weather and electrical events. I would recommend the 5300-PM.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The M5400 has voltage regulation in that it maintains constant voltage to your equipment I believe within a range of 90 to 140 volts. Also it interrupts power if voltage falls out of that range. The M5300 on the other hand just provides line filtering and surge protection and will briefly interrupt power if voltage falls out of the 90 - 140 volt range. Unless you have problems with your provider supplying consistent voltage levels (brownouts etc.) the M5300 is probably all you need.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unless were you live there are big power swings 5300 would be just fine for you. The 5400 has a voltage stabilization system in it that if your voltage drops 6 V it will add that voltage back if you do not drop that voltage that system does nothing for you. So my suggestion is to get a volt meter and check your power throughout the day to see where it stays if you only vary by a couple volts you’d be wasting your money on the 5400. Hope this helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.hi. i bought the 5300 because i needed the additional outlets due to so many components. the 5300 gives you all you need unless outlet capacity is an issue. hope this helps
