“All I want is a DVD player & RECORDER so I can record & keep TV shows. I'm having a terrible time of finding a new DVD player/recorder to replace my present one. If finding a Blueray & DVD combo would play DVD's too & make the picture better.”

Please try again later.This is not a recorder, but an excellent player that does a superlative job on Ultra High Definition discs, Blu-Ray discs, and DVD Discs, as well as being able to play CD’s. The video and audio parts are outstanding. Anything recorded in lower resolution, such as Blu-ray and DVD’s, does indeed look better than when played on other sources of players that admittedly cost less. It’s an excellent player that loads a disc faster than my old player. But it’s not a recorder. I can find no DVD recorder that is new, but only used or refurbished models. There are some models that will record to a hard drive.
