Do you have to have a landline for this phone to work? null

Yes - to use this system, a landline service is necessary. I have had 2 of these Panasonic systems over the years, and they have worked great, especially for having a phone in every part of the house. I highly recommend this system to anyone who still prefers to have a landline for home use.

We do have a land line; purchased this set to replace an older outdated set. I wouldn't think it could work without that; I believe you would need a land line as this is not a cellular phone.
