Can it play SACD discs? null

Nope. Sorry. No Panasonic DVD players can play SACDs. If you have an inventory of SACD and DVD-A discs that cherish, consider the inexpensive Sony UBP-X800M2 ($250), which plays SACDs quite well. It plays up to 4K DVDs, but its DVD and regular CD playback quality isn't up to that of more expensive 4K DVD players. If you want outstanding playback of DVDs up to 4K resolution, DVDs and regular CD playback, go for the Panasonic DP-UB9000 ($1,000). I own this model after trying almost all other less-expensive units. Some were fine with 4K DVD's picture and sound, but only the DP-UB9000 blew the socks off regular CDs, of which I have >300. (See the review of the DP-UB9000 at https://www.techhive.com/article/3386558/panasonic-dp-ub9000-review.html ). Its sound quality playback of regular CDs was beyond any player that I've ever heard, other than CD-only players costing >$800. I have an old Oppo BDP-93 that I use for SACD and DVD-A playback only. You may want to consider buying both the Panasonic and Sony players mentioned above ($1250 total) to have a really outstanding set of disc players.

Unfortunately no it can't, about the only format it won't play, it's an amazing player otherwise.
