QuestionI don't want a power cord to have to be plugged in all the time. Can this dash cam be charged up and run without any power cord? Thank you.

- Answer The dashcam is not meant to be a stand alone unit and will need to be plugged into a power source at all times you'd like to use it. If you would not like to use the standard car charger you can also hardwire the dashcam or power it using a power bank. QuestionHow do we know if motion was detected? Also how do we view footage?

- Answer Hi M, When recording in motion detection mode the dashcam will activate a screensaver and the screen will go blank while still recording in the background, after pushing a button on the dashcam to activate the screen a pop up will come up and give you a count for how many times motion was detected. QuestionSo my dashcam only records a minute of footage and not the 5 minutes that it used to record. It usually stops and it freezes for 10 seconds and start to record new footage. Is there any way to remedy this issue?

QuestionYour video does not show any means of mounting the product. Does the rear camera come with a suction cup mount. I am not screwing in! Adhesive mounts are useless in summer.

- Answer Hi Homer, The front cam has two mounting options a suction cup mount and an adhesive mount. The rear cam is applied with an adhesive mount. - Answer Hi Jerry, Here are the Operating and Storage temperatures: Operating Temperature 32°F- 140°F 0°C -60°C Storage Temperature -4°F~158°F -20°C-70°C The dashcam comes with a 1 year limited warranty, more details on warranty: LIMITED WARRANTY STATEMENT -This limited warranty is given only to the original purchaser of the product. -The limited warranty shall be restricted to the country/region of product purchase. -The limited warranty is only valid and enforceable in countries where the product is sold. -The limited warranty shall last for 12 months from the date of original purchase. The invoice will be required as the proof of purchase. -The limited warranty covers the expenses for inspecting and repairing the product during the warranty period. -The defective product shall be delivered by the purchaser to the reseller store or authorized dealer, along with the warranty card and the invoice (proof of purchase). -We will either repair the defective product or trade it out with a swap unit in good working condition. The dashcam needs to be either hardwired or powered by a power bank when wanting to take advantage of the surveillance features. - Answer Hi Cho, Unfortunately, this model dashcam does not come with a hardwire kit. If you're set on the GSS78016G model then you will have to purchase either a hardwire kit (PN: UDC-US) or power the dashcam using a power bank at all times you'd like to take advantage of surveillance features. If you'd like a dashcam that includes the hardwire kit, I highly recommend our GS36616G dashcam. - Answer Hi funrider, The dashcam needs to be plugged into an appropriate power source at all times you'd like it to function. If your vehicle's cigarette lighter ports do not stay live after powering down the vehicle you will either need to power it via hardwire kit or power bank. The recording time is dependent on the dashcam's settings and the size of the micro SD card that you are using. The cost of installation is dependent on where you get it installed. The dashcam should work fine with your vehicle.
