The difference is the size of the piece that screws into the socket. One is standard and the other is candelabra. Both need a bridge or other smart item to control it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is the type of socket your light bulb uses. A19 is a standard bulb fitting.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The A19 is more like your standard bulb and the B30 is more like a floodlight. Yes you need the bridge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A19 bulbs are your typical household bulbs while BR30 are usually flood lights. Anything with the Hue moniker typically requires the bridge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.BR30 and A19 refer to the type of fitting - most lamp bulbs are A19. Yes, both types require the hue bridge to work. These bulbs connect wirelessly to the hub rather than to your network directly. One hub will connect to 50 bulbs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Found out the hard way that the hue bridge is required for any hue light products no matter what other hubs or smart products you currently own... and it has to be hard wired by ethernet to your router. No wifi here. For the hue bridge. Not sure about the bulb differences
