Yes, you can extend the strips. The connectors are easy to use. However, be aware that Philips now charges an extra $50 to be able use the app that controls the lights. You don't find this out until you open the boxes, install the lights, then install the app only to find out it won't work unless you pay the $50 [extortion] fee. This isn't on the box or in any of the literature. I had to google search to find out where this "fee" came from (apparently this policy/charge is less than 60 days old). If I had to do it again I'd save a bunch of money and get the Govee on Amazon. Couldn't return my Hue since all the pieces were unboxed and stuck to my wall before I learned of the extra app fee. Not happy. The product is fine but nothing exceptional, certainly not worth the price.
